Kudawa Entrance

Sinharaja Forest Reserve is considered as the heart of the biodiversity of Sri Lanka. It is the only wet zone, lowland forest in Sri Lanka. It (36,474.93ha) spans over 06 Divisional Secretaries Divisions of Ratnapura, Galle, Matara and Kalutara Districts.

This Reserve has gained international recognition and has designated as a World Heritage Site by the International Biosphere Reserve Network of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1988.
